The Event cancelled? (old news)

I had no idea The Event was cancelled by NBC like a month ago. Well, there goes another sci-fi series I watch! Everything I watch gets cancelled with a cliffhanger ending apparently. (Note: there’s still a chance another network might pick it up though).

The cancellation is not that much of a surprise given how it’s such a letdown from all the hype of how it’s going to be “like Lost meets 24” (yeah, right). Bad acting,  bad dialog and unmemorable characters are some of the things that let the show down I feel. The story is not that bad. I found it interesting enough to watch all 22 episodes. The show is at least better than V, which got a 2nd season (before its cancellation).

I want to know what would have happened after the cliffhanger ending but overall I won’t miss this series that much if it isn’t picked up by another network. (I’ll continue watching it if is though!)
